The venue

We are delighted to be holding the 20th Annual BOPA Symposium at the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC), Glasgow. Conveniently located near the heart of Scotland’s largest and most exciting city, the purpose-built SECC is a world-class venue. Boasting state-of-the-art conference facilities and a four-star hotel, the conference centre is also conveniently located for air, rail and motorway travel.

Getting there

Glasgow by Air

Glasgow is easily reached by three international airports, Glasgow International, Glasgow Prestwick and Edinburgh International. Glasgow’s International Airport is less than 15 minutes drive by direct motorway link from the city centre. The City’s second airport, Glasgow Prestwick, is within 45 minutes travel, as is Edinburgh International Airport and its extensive national and international connections.

Glasgow by Rail

Glasgow Central Station is connected with every major city in the UK, while Queen Street Station serves central and northern Scotland. Trains run to the SECC from the city centre with a journey time of just three minutes. Exhibition Centre Station is SECC’s own dedicated railway station allowing easy access from the city centre and the suburbs. Six trains an hour (around every 10 minutes) from Glasgow Central Station (Platform 17 on the lower level) will bring you to Exhibition Centre Station.

Glasgow by Road

The SECC offers onsite parking for over 2,000 cars. The rate for this is £6.00 per vehicle (subject to change), per visit. The post code for your Sat Nav is: G3 8YW. There is a Glasgow Taxis rank pick-up and drop-off point at the East entrance adjacent of the SECC. An average journey from the city centre will cost around £5.00. The SECC is just two minutes from the national motorway network, connecting with every major city in the country.
