Educational webinar
BOPA is delighted to announce its first ever educational webinar, to be hosted by Fiona Maclean (MRPharmS, MSc, IPres), Lead Clinical Pharmacist, Regional Services Directorate - Cancer South & Clyde, and Neurosciences). The topic of the Webinar is Lung Cancer and will build on the eLearning module available to BOPA members on the eLearning website.
Fiona will feedback highlights from the recent British Thoracic Oncology Group’s annual conference including:
• Optimising cancer care for patients with Lung Cancer
• Current controversies in lung cancer care
• Smart ideas with oral chemotherapy for lung cancer
• Disussion around developing pharmacist-led research.
The Webinar will be held on Wednesday 15th February 2012 from 6pm until 7.30pm, including time for questions. If you wish to take part in this webinar then please contact David Thomson by email at david.thomson@ycn.nhs.uk by 1700hrs on Tuesday 14th February 2012. Further details will be sent to those wishing to take part following this deadline.
BOPA plan to host a number of webinars in order to provide educational opportunities to all our members. Webinars are a great way to learn at a time that suits you. Participants can take part remotely via a computer and include question & answer sessions allowing full participation between the audience and the presenter, they are a great way to keep up-to-date with current oncology topics outside of working hours.
You will be given a link to log into the event via your PC for the visual content, where you can listen to the audio stream for free using your computer’s speakers/headphones. If you do not have speakers or headphones there is a phone number you can call to listen to the audio content*
*Please note calls to the toll teleconference number will be charged at the prevailing rate by your telecommunications line provider.
Please make sure you log on at least 10 minutes before the meeting starts as it takes a few minutes to join the meeting.
