David Thomson - BOPA Executive Committee - Chair
David Thomson BSc (Hons), Dip Clin Pharm, MRPharmS
David's current role is that of Lead Pharmacist for the Yorkshire Cancer Network, where he has worked full time since October 2004.
He graduated from Strathclyde University in 1996 and his first job was as a resident pharmacist at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. His interest in oncology/haematology grew from his second post at the Western General Infirmary in Edinburgh as a Rotational C Grade Clinical Pharmacist. During this time he rotated through the posts of Oncology/Haematology Outpatient and also Breast Services Pharmacist. In 2001, he moved to Leeds and took up the role of Lead Pharmacist for Haematology at the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
He was elected Chair of the Cancer Network Pharmacists Forum (CNPF) in October 2005 and continued in that role until October 2008 when he became Chair of BOPA.
Steve Williamson - BOPA Executive Committee Vice Chair
Steve Williamson
Steve Williamson is the Consultant Pharmacist for Cancer Services—a joint role with Northumbria Healthcare Trust and the North of England Cancer Network (NECN). Within the Trust, Steve provides leadership and strategic direction to the development and delivery of chemotherapy services. He is also the Professional Secretary to the North of England Cancer Drugs Approval Group (NECDAG). Steve has undertaken research into capacity planning in chemotherapy services and has worked with the Department of Health in the development of its capacity planning tools. His current area of interest is extending the clinical pharmacist role in supporting patients on oral chemotherapy.
Netty Wood - BOPA Executive Committee Member and Website Manager

Netty's current role is that of Lead Pharmacist for the Essex Cancer Network where she has worked full time since September 2008.
She graduated from The School of Pharmacy, University of London in 2001, and her first job was a rotational pharmacist in Broomfield Hospital, Chelmsford, where her interest in oncology and haematology was born. In 2004, she took up the role of Senior Cancer Pharmacist at Colchester Hospital, where she gained experience in web design and management, project management and clinical oncology. It was in early 2006, that she was enlisted to project manage the re-design of the BOPA website by the Committee. In 2008, she became the Lead Pharmacist for Essex Cancer Network and in 2010 she became a mum.
Louise Dark - BOPA Executive Committee Member
Louise Dark
Louise is currently working as the Chemotherapy Preparative Service Manager at Barts and The London NHS Trust. Louise started this post in 2006 but began her career in oncology in 2003. In this post she is responsible for the timely provision of chemotherapy to inpatients and two busy day wards.
In July this year she completed a secondment to Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust, where she undertook a Network Oncology Education and Training post. Louise graduated in 1998 and has had jobs in the South West of England and Australia prior to moving to the 'Big Smoke'. She has also worked with the School of Pharmacy leading the postgraduate oncology diploma module.
Anne Hines
Anne Hines
Anne Hines has worked in the oncology /haematology field for the last 12 years working at various NHS trusts around the Northwest of England. She attained her Pharmacy degree from the University of Manchester followed by a diploma in clinical pharmacy and later was awarded an MSc in clinical oncology from the University of Newcastle. She is now the lead pharmacist for Merseyside and Cheshire Cancer Network. The network serves a population of 2.3 million people. Key roles include managing the network High Cost Drug Framework and developing world class commissioning for chemotherapy including haematological therapies. Anne is currently chair of the UK Cancer Network Pharmacist Forum. She is also the National Network Pharmacist lead for Payment by Results and the Chemotherapy HRG project.

I am currently the Lead Oncology and Hematology Pharmacist the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital, a post I have held since 2002. I originally qualified in Melbourne and have worked as a hospital pharmacist in various posts in the UK since 1990. Prior to my current post I was Aseptic Services Manager & Principal Oncology Pharmacist at Northampton General Hospital and before that Specialist Radiopharmacist at Leeds General Infirmary. While in Norwich I have completed an MSc in Oncology and acted as lead pharmacist for the former Norfolk and Waveney Cancer Network. I am currently the Chair of the East Anglian Oncology Pharmacists Group and an Associate Tutor at the University of East Anglia.

My current post is Clinical Lead Pharmacist at the North Wales Cancer Treatment Centre, based at Glan Clwyd Hospital in North Wales. I graduated from Cardiff University in 1995, and completed my pre-reg and diploma residency at Bradford Hospitals NHS Trust before moving into a specialist haematology and oncology role. I completed my MSc research project into quality of life during chemotherapy for colorectal cancer. In 2001 I moved to the Christie Hospital to facilitate PGDs and nurse prescribing. For my clinical role I supported the breast and ovarian cancer medical oncology clinics. During my final year at the Christie I spent most of my time working on 2 projects, electronic prescribing and the implementation of adjuvant trastuzumab therapy via homecare. In 2006 I took up my current post in North Wales, with a return to more general clinical pharmacy, supporting the haematology team in terms of new product/regimen introduction. I am an independent prescriber and continue to support nurse prescribers where possible.

I recently joined the BOPA committee to represent the views of paediatric oncology pharmacists, having been a steering group committee member of the POP (paediatric oncology pharmacists) Group since it's formation in 1996. I am Principal Pharmacist for Clinical Services at the Royal Marsden NHS Trust, based at Sutton but with cross site responsibilities at RMH Chelsea. The Royal Marsden NHS Trust is part of the SW London Network. I graduated from the Leicester School of Pharmacy in 1979. After completing my pre-reg at King's College Hospital, and basic grade pharmacist posts at Westminster and National Heart/Brompton Hospitals, I joined the Royal Marsden in 1983, gaining promotion into my present post in 1989.

“Ricardo Martinez Moreno-Davila is the Lead Oncology Pharmacist for Healthcare at Home Ltd—the main homecare provider company in the UK. Within the company, Ricardo is responsible for pharmaceutical services provided for oncology patients and is currently involved in projects such as oral oncology services and electronic prescribing.
He graduated in Granada University in 2001, where he did postgraduate studies in Pharmaceutical Care. In 2002 he was recruited by Lloydspharmacy, and he worked in the East Yorkshire region in community pharmacy as Pharmacist and then as District Manager, where he developed a special interest in care for the elderly and pain management.
