Quality in Care Excellence in Oncology Awards

The Quality in Care Partnership is a recently launched initiative that, for the first time, brings together an unprecedented collection of NHS, charity and professional groups with the aim of spreading best practice in cancer care throughout the UK. It was launched by Professor Sir Mike Richards and Stephen Parsons of the National Cancer Action Team (NCAT). The initiative centres around an awards programme where outstanding cancer practice can be recognised, rewarded and then disseminated, to ensure maximum benefit to cancer patients.

The awards are open to professional teams and individuals, patient support organisations, journalists and even patients. Entries are welcome from people within all walks of cancer care who are contribution to furthering the lives of cancer patients in the UK.

More information and entry forms can be found at the website www.qualityincare.org/awards/oncology and the deadline for entries is Friday 20th July 2012.
